At around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, officers stopped the car Campbell was driving on Breda Drive near Geta Road. After detecting the smell of marijuana, officers searched the car, leading to the discovery of numerous multi-colored baggies and almost 25 grams of marijuana.

Later on Thursday, officers executed a search warrant at Campbell’s apartment on Claudius Road. That search resulted in the seizure of two handguns, including one reported stolen from Blount County, over 330 grams of marijuana and additional evidence of drug distribution.

Campbell, who has a prior felony conviction for aggravated robbery in 2014, was taken into custody for charges that include convicted felon in possession of a weapon, possession of a firearm with intent to go armed, theft of a firearm and schedule VI drugs.
